ROD CROSSMAN'S HOME PAGE

Sporting Artist
Sometimes the internet seems like such a cold impersonal place... until you cross paths totally by accident, with someone like Rod. I noticed one morning while looking through our website stats that we had a new link. What a pleasant surprise to find that Rod Crossman had linked to US! "We're not worthy!" Since then we have conversed only through email with the thought that one day we might fly fish together. I can see myself totally embarrassed. My line all tangled... getting my hook caught in the trees....picking flies by my mood not the trout's. I have a feeling though that none of that matters. We'll be waist deep in the cool water listening to God and just praying we've been good enough for him to send a trout our way.

You've seen Rod's paintings and etchings before if you're familiar with Gray's Sporting Journal or Fly Rod and Reel Magazine. The Smithsonian, Chicago Art Institute, Woodson Art Museum, Ward Museum and High Museum have all had the privilege of showing his work. Presently he is an artist in residence at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Rod's paintings are showcased in The Fine Art of Angling scheduled to be released October 2007. The signed and numbered collectible edition would be a wonderful gift. It includes reproductions of 10 original sketches produced just for this book. Click on the link below for ordering information from the publisher.

I've chosen a few of my favorites but there are many more. Take some time to go over his site. You'll be happy you did.
